You will carry out end‑to‑end sprint testing, support the Test Lead in overseeing the UAT and PVT test cycles, write test plans and test cases, execute test cases, support business users, prioritise defects, and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
Your skills and experience:
Experienced tester across a range of products and processes within financial services or experience in validating financial services product rollouts within a business function
Financial services experience is a must
Experience in test execution and co-ordinating End to End SWIFT message testing with counterparties is highly regarded.
Experience in building and maintaining Test Automation framework is a nice to have.
Experience in working with technology teams
Experience of Test case tracking in JIRA and knowledge sharing in Confluence
Exposure towards traditional and Agile SDLC methodologies.
Knowledge of wealth management products and services is a plus (e.g., portfolio management, trading, settlement, payments, reconciliations, corporate actions).
Key Responsibilities:
Involvement in the definition and design phases of change, contributing to the overall solution.
Supporting the creation of test plans and test cases for all functionalities to be developed, covering both application-level and broader business process testing.
Tracking test cases back to associated design and requirements documents.
Collaborating with business SMEs and management to agree on and sign off the test approach.
Executing test plans and test cases, and capturing test results along with associated evidence.
Supporting the Platform team in identifying issues for failed or conditionally passed test cases.
Supporting the broader business by ensuring stability of the UAT test environment and test connections to counterparties.
Working with the Lead Quality Engineer to manage standardised test data.
Working across multiple platforms, including Avaloq, data integration systems, and APIs.
Qualifications
Degree qualification in IT or equivalent experience desired.
5+ years' accumulative IT industry experience required.
Familiar with industry standard project methodologies and working closely with business users.
Financial services education beneficial.
