About the Role
Join our dynamic team at Wodonga TAFE as an Instructional Designer and transform the future of education!
We\'re seeking a creative learning designer to develop engaging blended learning resources for Defence and NTEN programs. You\'ll collaborate with educators and the TTS team to design innovative, evidence-based content using immersive technologies and contemporary teaching practices, while supporting staff capability and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
This position requires creativity, problem solving and the ability to balance multiple projects with autonomy while collaborating across teams.
Selected Duties:
- Provide expert advice and lead the development of interactive blended learning content aligned with Institute policies, in collaboration with educators.
- Apply adult learning principles to design digital, blended, and simulation-based solutions, and evaluate eLearning products to enhance teaching quality.
- Manage projects to ensure timely, on-budget delivery, while supporting staff capability through professional development in contemporary practices.
- Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement in blended learning strategies, with flexibility for travel and after-hours work as required.
About You
Skills & Experience

- Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field with extensive experience; plus, expertise in Learning Management Systems.
- Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or above or is willing to complete selected units of the qualification.
- Has demonstrated experience designing and delivering capability solutions across multiple modalities, including eLearning, multimedia, simulation, or analytics enabled solutions.
- Has 2-5 years’ experience developing and maintaining courses in an LMS.
- Is an Australian Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Desirable Advanced experience with Moodle, including reporting and optimisation.
- Desirable Experience with data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI), automation, simulation, 3D modelling or 3D printing.
