Accountant Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team.
* Collaborate with the Senior Client Manager to manage client relationships, respond to queries, and deliver excellent service.
* Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships in line with current regulations.
* Maintain accurate financial records, correspondence, and project documentation.
* Coordinate with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.
* Mentor and support junior accountants to foster their development.
* Stay informed on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share insights with the team.
* Suggest and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
* Assist with onboarding new clients, including gathering documents and setting up accounts.
* Help organise and manage workflow to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 6 years of experience in public practice, with strong expertise in tax, financial reporting, and SMSF.
* Advanced proficiency with Xero and other accounting software, with proven results.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to foster lasting client relationships.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding team members.
