About the Role
Are you a switched-on Senior Tax Advisor looking for your next challenge? We're on the lookout for a sharp, proactive professional to manage and optimise our tax strategies while ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations. This will initially be on a 6-month contract basis with an opportunity for a longer-term role. You will support the delivery of income tax, GST advisory, compliance and reporting activities and monitor tax compliance obligations for the group's Australian and foreign entities. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to key projects, provide strategic tax advice, and work alongside a collaborative, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert tax advice and support to our internal clients.
* Assist in delivering a range of tax-related services and advice to Investment teams:
* Acquisition due diligence for domestic and international investments
* Tax design and analysis of new investments / products
* Monitoring continuing tax efficiency of onshore and offshore investment structures
* General day to day Australian and international income tax and indirect tax advice
* New product structures
* Review of quarterly and year end distributions
* Review of Australian and international income tax returns
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the enterprise tax strategy,implementing best practice systems and frameworks for QIC tax strategy, while continuing to identify opportunities to align strategic and operational tax activities across the enterprise.
* Support transaction-related tax work and prepare/review complex tax calculations.
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
* Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and advise the team accordingly.
About You
* Brings experience from a corporate tax division or Big 4 environment.
* Holds CA or CPA qualification with strong technical tax expertise.
* Possesses solid knowledge of both local and international tax legislation.
* Demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Communicates complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders.
* Works well independently and as part of a team, with the ability to hit the ground running.
