A Federal Government agency is delivering a national initiative aimed at improving access to essential services in remote and underserved communities. The team is focused on supporting inclusive, community-led service models that promote equity and long-term outcomes for children and families.
Your new role
As a Program Officer, you will support the delivery of a targeted grants program designed to establish and strengthen services in areas with limited access. You will work closely with service providers-many of which are community-controlled organisations-to manage funding agreements and ensure program objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the administration and oversight of grant agreements
* Reviewing financial and performance reports from funded services
* Engaging with grant recipients to ensure compliance and provide operational support
* Building relationships with community organisations and service providers
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve service access
* Contributing to broader program operations and ad hoc tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Experience in program or grant management within a government or community setting
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with diverse and remote communities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
* Cultural awareness and sensitivity
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
You must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undergo and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance. Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is highly regarded.
