Central Queensland Radiology (CQR), part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX group), is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with highly skilled professionals and advanced technology. We operate 8 practices across Central Queensland, including Gladstone, Rockhampton, and Yeppoon to Emerald. We have close ties with Sunshine Coast Radiology, with sites across the Sunshine Coast.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Medical Receptionist to join our busy front desk at Emerald Hospital. You will provide excellent customer service to patients booking and attending appointments for services including X-ray, Ultrasound, and MRI.
This role is Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. No weekends!
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Greet patients warmly as the first point of contact.
Handle cash and process patient accounts, including Medicare and private health funds.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Follow procedures, policies, and regulations related to workplace health and safety, HR, and departmental standards.
Coordinate with referrers, doctors, and patients regarding medical results.
ABOUT YOU
Experience in Medical, Dental, Allied Health, Hospital, or Radiology front desk roles is highly regarded.
Understanding of medical terminology.
Knowledge of booking systems and strong computer skills.
Excellent presentation, communication, and patient care skills—friendly and welcoming!
