KKN Foods Pty Ltd is a rapidly expanding restaurant company, with a brand new Indian restaurant opening in Acacia Ridge, QLD. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. Your main goal will be to consistently deliver high-quality, authentic and flavorful dishes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to the restaurant's menu and recipes
* Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented in a timely and efficient manner
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
* Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies
* Assist with menu planning and development
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements
* Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant
* Proven experience in cooking Indian cuisine
* Excellent knowledge of Indian spices and ingredients
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
* Relevant culinary qualifications (Certificate III in commercial cookery) will be highly regarded
We are offering a competitive salary of $74000 to $78000 for the right candidate, along with opportunities for career growth and development within our expanding company.
