Job Title: Patient Care Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform patient assessments and interventions on-road
2. Provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
3. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
4. Audit the effectiveness of any intervention in accordance with all RFDS guidelines, NEPT regulations, and within prescribed scope of practice
5. Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
6. Maintain an understanding of RFDS policies and procedures and NEPT regulations to support best practice and patient outcomes
Requirements
* Qualified as a Patient Transport Officer (PTO) - Minimum of qualification of Cert III in Nonemergency Patient Care
* Experience working in the NEPT sector is desirable but not essential
* Hold a FULL Victorian Drivers licence and have the ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
* Availability to work shifts across a 7-day roster
