We are currently seeking an organised, professional, and welcoming legal receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a vital role in maintaining the firm's image. This position requires good communication skills, a friendly and happy approach and the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional manner.
* Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information, when needed.
* Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings.
* Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, ensuring it reflects the firm's professionalism.
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
* Provide administrative support to lawyers and paralegals, as needed, including document preparation and filing.
* Manage the office supplies inventory.
* Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
Qualifications
* HSC or equivalent; further education or certification in office legal administration or a related field is a plus.
* Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role, preferably in a legal setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment (e.g., photocopiers, printers and fax machines).
* Ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
* High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
* Experience with legal software platforms would be an advantage.
