Clinical nurses play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of elderly patients by delivering specialized psychogeriatric mental health assessments and short-term coordinated engagement with older individuals who meet established criteria.
This position requires collaboration with consumers and multidisciplinary professionals to provide clinical care and a therapeutic environment that fosters dignity and well-being.
As a clinical nurse, you will also be responsible for providing psycho-geriatric consultancy, education, and community outreach services to relevant aged care or mental health providers within the hospital and health service.
Job Responsibilities:
* To travel to other facilities located within the hospital and health service for clinical activities or meetings, which may involve day and/or overnight stays
Requirements:
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification
* Highly desirable credentialed status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
* Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing
