Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician Trainee
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to customers in the use of Pre-engineered Fire Protection Systems and equipment
Effectively communicate with the customer
Ensure highest level of presentation as a Chubb Fire & Security employee, including individual presentation, vehicle presentation, etc
Ensure punctuality
Comply with all Customer requirements, as defined by the Customer contract
Key Responsibilities and Performance Areas
Increase the Customer base through the active promotion of products and services
Reduce Customer attrition through the delivery of excellent customer service
Effectively manage available time and resources, and be proactive in problem solving and troubleshooting
Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management, and service delivery via handheld technology
Survey customer machines and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Chubb Fire & Security procedures
Identify, install, test, diagnose, service, repair and carry out minor works on Pre-Engineered Fire Protection Systems (PEFS)
Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on equipment using systems including i-Service handheld technology
Participate in stocktakes and be responsible for inventory management
Manage and maintain all assigned company property
Report work progress and performance by completing productivity/KPI reports
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in the Fire Protection Industry including Fire Hose Reels, Fire Extinguishers and Fire Hydrants; able to obtain industry accreditation (mandatory)
Cert II in Asset Maintenance – Fire Protection Systems with the relevant Cert III modules completed
Experience in Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems and other Fire disciplines (preferred)
Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)
Up to date product and industry knowledge and ability to locate relevant information
Knowledge of applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment
Technical or engineering competency with ability to complete required training and accreditation
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prepare written reports and quotations; identify, target and close sales opportunities
Customer focused attitude; good time management; self-motivated; able to work in a team or unsupervised
