Job Opportunity: Lead Financial Counselling Expertise
Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Counsellor will be responsible for providing expert guidance, support and professional supervision to the multidisciplinary team, with a focus on best practice in financial counselling.
This role targets vulnerable and disadvantaged people in rural communities, including those experiencing family violence and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial counselling, holding the Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) for over 2 years, and be eligible to become an accredited professional supervisor.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality financial counselling casework to clients, collaborating with the Manager and Team Leader to build capacity within the team, and contributing to the development of the broader program.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in financial counselling with a focus on community services.
* Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling) or higher qualification.
* Eligibility to become an accredited professional supervisor.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
