Are you ready to hang up the tools and inspire the next generation?
Major Training Group is seeking a passionate and skilled Electrotechnology Trainer to deliver both Public Electrotechnology Short Courses and Certificate III in Electrotechnology programs. Whether you're an experienced trainer or a qualified electrician ready to transition off the tools, this is your opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping Queensland's future workforce.
You'll join one of Queensland's most respected RTOs, delivering practical, engaging training to apprentices at all stages of their journey. From sparking initial curiosity to guiding apprentices through to industry qualification, you'll be a trusted mentor, motivator, and educator.
About the Role
This role combines practical training with meaningful mentorship. You'll be responsible for delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based learning that connects theory with hands-on skills. You'll build student confidence, keep stakeholders informed, and foster a safe, supportive environment where learning thrives.
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone who must hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and have at least four years of industry experience. You'll also need a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or be actively working toward it. While experience delivering Certificate III programs is highly valued, it's not essential — what matters most is your ability to engage, encourage, and inspire. We also encourage individuals with additional electrical short courses to apply, as we continue to broaden the scope of our training delivery.
Why Join Major?
At Major Training Group, we value people over paperwork. You'll be part of a positive, supportive, family-run organisation with over 25 years of proven results in vocational education. We offer competitive remuneration, growth opportunities, and a chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners.
Ready to Make the Switch?
We're looking for more than just technical knowledge — we want a trainer who leads with energy, builds connections, and lights the spark in others.
Apply now with your resume and a brief cover letter. Let us know why you're ready to step into this role and help build the next generation of electricians.
