The Regulatory Policy and Strategy Branch is comprised of six teams that oversee the integrity of Child Care Subsidy payments, providing policy advice to Government on integrity, education, and engagement with the childcare sector, internal reviews, data analysis, and intelligence.
The Intelligence Analytics Section gathers and analyses childcare and related data to identify high-risk behaviours, operational targets for investigations, and compliance activities, informing and delivering operational data and intelligence support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading integrity outcomes in the early childhood and child care program through data analysis techniques and programming languages (SQL, SAS).
* Proficient use of programming languages like SAS, SQL, or similar tools and technologies for data extraction and manipulation.
* Extracting and integrating data from various sources to maintain reports and analytics products for stakeholders.
* Developing detection profiles to identify patterns related to high-risk behaviours and provide targets for compliance and fraud activity.
* Providing administrative support regarding data systems and related issues.
* Participating in a collaborative team environment based on supportiveness, development, knowledge sharing, and effective communication.
* Cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
