About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Underground Manager, the Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for managing and leading the engineering team in generating, maintaining and optimising practical UG mine designs and schedules and monitoring performance compliance to plan.
About You
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in the UG mining industry at the operational and planning level exposed to a range of mining methods and mine engineering; scheduling, drill and blast, mine ventilation and mine projects.
Demonstrated skills and knowledge in risk management, safety and environmental systems and legislative and statutory requirements, particularly the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Regulations (Mines) 2022.
DMIRS examination(s) and relevant risk management units of competency for appointed positions of Underground Ventilation Officer and Statutory Supervisor (or willing to gain).
Experience with capital projects including mine infrastructure design.
Experience in cost estimation including capital costs, operating costs, across a wide range of mining activities and support services.
Expert user of mine planning and scheduling software packages preferably Deswik.
