Purpose
The SAP SuccessFactors Solution Architect provides expert advice and leadership in solution architecture and related initiatives. The role ensures the effective design, development, integration, and ongoing enhancement of SAP SuccessFactors solutions, while ensuring alignment with organisational strategies, standards, and best practices.
The Solution Architect advises on all aspects of system development and integration, including change requests and deviations from specifications, and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction in the design and management of SAP SuccessFactors solutions, including risk and issue identification and management.
* Analyse business requirements and system specifications, providing strategic architectural expertise to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Analyse and resolve complex system and technology problems, delivering innovative and scalable solutions within agreed timeframes.
* Develop and maintain system architecture and design specifications, including supporting documentation, in compliance with relevant standards.
* Provide expert advice to business owners on the ongoing enhancement and development of corporate system applications.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver clear, agreed, and measurable business outcomes.
* Provide expert input and support for quality reviews of solution deliverables.
* Advise on changes to solution designs to ensure systems remain robust, fit for purpose, and aligned to requirements.
* Liaise, consult, and negotiate effectively with team members, project teams, stakeholders, and client groups to maintain solution integrity.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern ERP solutions (preferably SAP products), IT innovation, and relevant business domains.
* Perform other duties as required.

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience delivering complex SAP SuccessFactors solutions across multiple modules.
* Strong understanding of ERP and/or HR technology initiatives, including SAP SuccessFactors Learning, Recruitment, and Employee Central.
* Ability to translate complex technical and architectural concepts into clear business outcomes.
* Extensive solution architecture experience, including coaching and mentoring other architects and working across multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Strong client service orientation with experience working to deadlines and service‑level expectations.
* Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing and supporting team leaders and delivery teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to consult, advise, and negotiate on complex and strategic matters.
* Experience working in highly integrated ERP environments and large‑scale ERP transformation programs.
* Expert knowledge of integration strategies, solution architecture, and solution integration design.
* Experience designing and presenting solution artefacts.
* Strong understanding of current industry trends, including systems integration and service‑oriented architecture.
* Typically 7–10+ years’ experience working in and leading complex, large‑scale business and ERP implementations.
Deliverables
* Deliverables will be agreed at the commencement of the engagement and reviewed on an ongoing basis. All deliverables must align with organisational standards, governance frameworks, and delivery processes.
