Key responsibilities include managing the effective and efficient operation of Western Power's contractors working on contracts of significant value and complexity, ensuring a consistent site presence, and allocating resources to achieve specific outcomes.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract management frameworks, providing technical advice and direction to the team, and organizing allocated resources to achieve specific outcomes.
The successful candidate will have extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise in complex contract management, a thorough understanding of the external contracting market and contract governance, and strong commercial acumen.
This leadership role requires someone with exceptional leadership, influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to different situations.
Job Description
* Accountability: Leading a team of Contractor Compliance Specialists, ensuring compliance with contract management frameworks, and managing the effective and efficient operation of contractors.
* Site Presence: Ensuring a consistent site presence, immediate response, and active involvement in incident management.
* Resource Allocation: Allocating resources to achieve specific outcomes, ensuring appropriate onsite resourcing, and constructability review of contracted work packages.
This role is not only responsible for overseeing day-to-day compliance activities but also driving continuous improvement across the team.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Law or a Legal discipline, Engineering, Business, or a Commercial discipline, or trade-based qualifications coupled with significant contract and/or construction management experience.
