Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
As a Network Infrastructure Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing IT environments that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing, configuring, and deploying scalable and robust computer networks, including LANs, WANs, and wireless systems, in alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
* Administering, monitoring, and maintaining both physical and virtual server infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability across all systems.
* Implementing and managing comprehensive network security frameworks, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and secure access controls, to protect organizational data and systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
* Troubleshooting and resolving complex network and system issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of business operations.
* Monitoring and analyzing network performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and optimization opportunities to enhance efficiency and ensure uninterrupted data flow.
* Planning and executing network upgrades, expansions, and technology refresh initiatives to support evolving business requirements and maintain infrastructure currency.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers, IT support personnel, and business stakeholders, to understand technical needs and deliver effective infrastructure solutions.
* Maintaining comprehensive documentation of network configurations, system architectures, troubleshooting procedures, and infrastructure changes. Generating regular performance and security reports for management and audit purposes.
* Developing and maintaining data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity, rapid restoration, and business continuity in the event of system failures or unforeseen incidents.
* Staying abreast of emerging technologies in networking and systems administration, evaluating innovations for potential implementation to enhance infrastructure performance and resilience.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in network & system engineering role.
