Our role is to earn trust by advancing CBA’s reputation through advocacy with internal and external stakeholders and to deliver advice and insights to inform decisions.Do work that mattersWe are looking for a creative and innovative content producer to support a newly formed Newsroom team critical in driving CBA’s communications with external stakeholders.The Producer role is focused on the creation, curation and distribution of helpful, relevant financial and economic news and information to a range of audiences, as well as associated channel and data management. You will report to the Newsroom Lead and work closely with CBA (and external) subject matter experts, the Brand & PR, Media Relations, Group Social, Government and Industry Affairs, People Communications, Paid & Owned Media, Marketing Content & Publishing and Business and Support Unit teams to evolve the type of news and informational content CBA produces and how it is distributed to target audiences.Your responsibilities:Editorial strategy: Plan, prioritise, and produce key stories, analysis, and content to deliver the Newsroom strategy. Help drive editorial meetings and make decisions on resource allocation and delivery plans across owned and earned channels.Editorial creation: Plan and produce informative finance and economics news, analysis and explainers on relevant topics.Channel and data management: Oversee back-end production, set key performance indicators, use data to inform decisions and drive improvement, and establish feedback loops to measure content effectiveness for audiences.Training and counsel: Advise and help lead editorial best-practice among the wider team as the skillset and priorities shift to more original story production.Your skills and experience:Outstanding storytelling skills across text and multimedia, with an ability to adjust style and tone for different audiences.Thorough understanding of the Australian news and social media information ecosystem, as well as the economic and political landscape.Demonstrated success working in fast-paced content production, news, and/or political environments.Proven ability to engage and build digital audiences across owned and social media, and work across a range of content management and workflow systems, including Adobe, Salesforce and JIRA.Ability to translate complex data and issues into compelling content for different stakeholders.Proficiency in video editing, photography, and related multimedia and visual content creation skills, as well as website analytics platforms, is an advantage.Comprehensive experience working with AI tools, and a willingness to develop these capabilities to benefit audience outcomes.Strong business acumen, understanding of the banking and financial services sector, and corporate affairs / public relations experience preferred.Proven ability to proactively identify, understand, discuss, and act on current and future risks.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Economics, Business/Commerce, Journalism or similar.If this sounds like your next career opportunity, please apply today!Working at CommBankAt CommBank, we support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half their time each month connecting in office.
