The Role

Lead and embed safety across our Proserpine aquaculture, processing, and hatchery operations. Partner with leaders and frontline teams to ensure practical, compliant safe systems of work. Own site-level WHS activities, support ISO 45001 systems, and drive a culture of physical and psychological safety. Reports to the Senior WHS Manager.

Responsibilities

* Own site WHS: risk management, incident investigation, audits, training, and engagement.
* Develop and implement SOPs, SWMS, and risk assessments with operational teams.
* Lead investigations, drive corrective actions, and conduct workplace inspections/audits.
* Deliver WHS training, toolbox talks, and coach teams to build safety capability.
* Analyse safety data, manage injury reporting, and ensure legislative compliance.

Role Requirements

* Diploma in WHS (or equivalent); Cert IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
* Proven WHS experience in manufacturing, high-risk operations, or similar.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and experience with incident investigation (e.g., ICAM).
* Skilled in developing SOPs/SWMS, conducting audits, and delivering training.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and ability to manage priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* First Aid certificate; proficiency with Microsoft Office and work management platforms (e.g., monday.com) advantageous.
