Overview
A leading Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced
Senior Network Engineer
to join its Infrastructure team. The role involves designing and implementing critical network infrastructure in a secure, high-availability environment, delivering resilient and scalable network solutions onsite in Darwin.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless systems.
Implement network security remediation and uplift measures in line with best practice and compliance requirements.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices, ensuring optimal performance across WAN / LAN environments.
Monitor network performance, proactively identify issues and implement solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing WAN / LAN networking (MPLS, SD-WAN, VLANs, VPNs) and protocols (BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP).
Strong background in network security solutions (firewalls, IDS / IPS, segmentation techniques).
Expertise with Cisco networking devices and management platforms (FTD, ICE, DNAC).
Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP or CCNA (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and experience in technical writing.
Offer
12-month contract based onsite in Darwin with the possibility of extension.
