We are excited to invite enthusiastic, motivated individuals who have experience in wastewater/ reticulation or treatment operations to apply for our Treatment Plant Operator positions (2). Do you have;

Experience: Experience in wastewater, reticulation or similar.

A Desire to Learn: A genuine interest or understanding in how water/wastewater treatment works.

Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think critically and respond effectively.

Team Player Attitude: Willingness to collaborate with experienced professionals.

Previous experience in wastewater/ reticulation or treatment operations is a mandatory requirement to be considered for this position.

The Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator will learn and develop a range of skills to support the completion of a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations. The role will support the Treatment Coordinator and Treatment Plant Operators in assisting with the operation of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. This may include planned or responsive activities to the water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs or sources, mechanical maintenance and inspections and monitoring.

What do Treatment Plant Operators do?


• Oversee the operation of pumps, gauges, aerators and other treatment plant equipment

* Carry out minor maintenance or repairs to equipment

* Monitor water and/or wastewater flows

* Sampling and testing of water and Wastewater

* Ensuring compliance with various standards and legislation

* Chemical dosing and monitoring - including remote monitoring systems

What will I be doing?

Enjoy variety as no two days are the same for a Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Your day-to-day work may include:

* preparing and restoring operational sites and public facilities
* repairs on water, wastewater and drainage assets
* operation of treatment processes
* environmental monitoring and care
* monitoring plant performance
* providing customer service
* observing safe work practices

* Salary schedule ranges from from Level 5 $61,334.55 to Level 8 $68,191.62 per annum
