Job Title: Senior Chef – Permanent (Part‐time 38 hrs/fortnight) or Permanent Full‐time.
Overview
At St Vincent's Care Services Eltham we pride ourselves on compassion, connection and care. As a Senior Chef you will play a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and supportive dining experience for residents.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage kitchen operations, including roster management and budget control while the Head Chef is away.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
* Provide culinary leadership to deliver a superior dining service, including menu planning and special dietary requirements.
* Work within a multidisciplinary, fast‐paced team and drive a strong team culture.
* Implement change and support staff development and training.
Qualifications & Experience
* High‐volume cooking experience.
* Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements.
* Trade qualification in commercial cooking; experience in fine dining or hotels preferred.
* Current Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate.
* National Police Certificate held.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.
* Previous experience in an aged‐care facility or bistro/hotel – preferably five years or more.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‐service focus.
