Job Title: Boilermaker Fabricator
Location: Pakenham
We are seeking 3 x Casual Boilermaker Fabricators to join our growing team. You will be fabricating complex components from mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in a modern, well-equipped workshop, delivering high-quality results for defence and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate steel structures and pressure equipment using detailed engineering drawings and specificationsPerform welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW techniquesPrepare and finish welded surfaces using grinders, cutters, and related toolsSet up welding equipment according to weld procedure requirementsEnsure welding meets X-ray and NDT standards, including AS3992 and LloydsMaintain welding tools and equipment through regular cleaning, repairs, and part replacementsAccurately interpret technical drawingsCollaborate with other trades and project teams to deliver projects on time and within budgetAdhere to workplace health and safety policies and proceduresMaintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workshop
What We're Looking For
Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator with structural and pressure equipment experienceHands-on experience with pipe spoolingAdvanced welding abilities: MIG, TIG, and FCAWAbility to meet stringent quality inspection requirements, including X-ray and NDTFamiliarity with AS3992, Lloyds, and DNV welding codesExperience operating pressing and rolling machines for mild and stainless steelExcellent attention to detail and solution-oriented approachStrong team player with a safety-first mindset
