Electrical Superintendent - Utility Scale BESS project - Victoria, Australia - $Excellent Daily Rate - 18 Month Contract - March/April Start Date - 2 & 1 or 3 & 1 Rotation (FIFO)
A global energy delivery organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Superintendent / Electrical Advisor to support electrical installation verification, commissioning and technical oversight on a utility-scale energy project in Victoria.
This role will focus on electrical installation assurance, commissioning and contractor sign-off, ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with Australian standards. You will act as the electrical authority on site during construction phases, supporting project leadership by reviewing installation quality and ensuring compliance prior to commissioning activities.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee & advise on electrical installation & commissioning works for HV and LV systems on the BESS site
* Ensure all activities comply with Australian electrical standards, design documentation, and safety procedures
* Provide technical support to contractors and supervise day-to-day installation progress
* Liaise with the client, EPC, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless handover
* Support QA/QC inspections, testing, and verification of electrical systems
Requirements:
* Proven background in electrical installation or supervision within large-scale battery storage, energy, power, or renewables projects
* Experience in BESS, substation, or generation environments highly regarded
* Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and construction safety practices
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work autonomously on a remote or regional project site
