Air Dinkum Mechanical Services Pty Ltd is a growing and dynamic business providing high-quality Electrical, HVAC, Fleet Hire, Mechanical and various other trade services across the Mining, Renewables, Industrial, Commercial and Residential sectors. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Administration Officer to join our Orange based team and play a key role in supporting our daily operations.
This role will be full-time Monday to Friday and will require flexibility to work additional hours at times (no weekend works required however at times we may require you to stay back to get a task completed if urgent). This role is based in our Orange office. Working from home is not suitable for this role.
About the role
This position requires an individual who is highly driven and thrives in a fast‑paced, reactive environment and takes pride in thinking ahead, problem solving, and contributing to a positive team culture. You will work closely with management, field staff and clients to ensure the smooth running of our administrative and operational functions. This role is suitable to someone who is adaptable to the 'trade' industry and workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level administrative support across all departments assisting fellow team to get ahead in all avenues of administration.
* Manage incoming enquiries, documentation, scheduling, ordering and data entry.
* Support finance functions including invoicing, purchase orders, and job cost tracking.
* Liase with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain efficient communication.
* Contribute to company branding and upholding strong professional relationships with clients, customers and staff.
* Assist with adhoc office tasks and team support as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be highly organised, adaptable to schedule changes with little warning, and confident in your administrative capabilities. You will be flexible and open to working in a 'trade' and workshop environment.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in office administration role and/or have a trade background of Electrical and/or mechanical.
* Strong communication and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Xero and Aroflo.
* Exceptional attention to detail and initiative to improve processes.
* Ability to talk to all levels from apprentices, tradesman to senior management and clients with a high regard for customer service. Ability to guide fellow team when required to achieve quality work and results.
