**About the Company**
Join an established construction and renovation business with national presence and a large portfolio of work ranging from $50k - $10m per project. This busy and fast paced environment will allow you to work across a diverse risk portfolio including, working at heights, mobile plant, confined spaces, hazardous materials such as asbestos, demolition, traffic management, electrical works etc.
**About the Role**
We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor who wants to create change and drive impact through the wider business and has an appetite work as a team to build a new national safety management system.
This role will see you manage a Safety Coordinator to ensure the day to day running of a large volume of sites across Queensland. You will oversee the portfolio of jobs and work with the Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure correct health and safety measures are applied and best practice is achieved.
Your day to day role will involve:
- Monitoring and conducting of regular HS&E compliance checks within projects
- Provide monthly reports and statistics weekly reporting
- Develop and issue safety alerts when required
- Manage site inductions
- Manage workplace health and safety training and licensing
- Facilitate and coach subcontractors
- Conduct pre-starts, toolboxes, incident investigations and risk assessments
- Review SWMS
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Reporting of safety breaches
- Issue non compliance if required
The other part of your role will see you heavily involved with the Head of People and Safety to overhaul the entire safety management system across all sites in VIC, NSW, ACT and QLD. You will be involved in workshopping new process, liaising with SafeWork and developing the system to be user friendly. You and the rest of the team will be instrumental to the implementation in the business and working with the crews to ensure effectively embedded.
**About You**
You will be a passionate health and safety professional with a relevant qualification in WHS that wants to drive best practice and overseas the continual improvement of processes for the people. Other traits that we are searching for include:
- Previous experience in injury management / RTW
- First Aid or CPR training would be highly regarded
- Work at Heights training is preferable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will work in the Queensland market and have a roaming role between sites, the North Parkes / Gold Coast office and from your own home. You will have an opportunity to manage the day to day workload of a Safety Coordinator and help develop their skills.
This organisation will pay you a generous salary, 10.5% superannuation and provide either a car or a $16,000 car allowance depending on your preference.
