Department of Health, Hospitals & Primary Care – Hospitals Nth, Launceston General Hospital. Location: LGH Charles Street, Launceston.
Employment type: Permanent, part‐time. Award: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 5. Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (pro‐rate). Superannuation 12% on top of salary.
Responsibilities
* Employee assessments and immunisation
* Skin assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products
* Contact tracing and case management of affected individuals, and management of disease outbreaks
* Occupational exposure counselling and management
Qualifications
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or Midwife
* Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence, educate and negotiate with colleagues
* Advanced clinical competence and expertise in immunisation and vaccination programmes
* Authorised as a Nurse Immuniser in Tasmania or evidence of a similar role
* Current driver's licence (desirable)
