Job Opportunity:
A skilled Fitter-Welder is required to join our team in ensuring the operational reliability of farm equipment and infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspect, diagnose, assemble and fit mechanical components for farm machinery and fixed plant
* Perform MIG, TIG, arc and oxy-acetylene welding on machinery, frames, fences, trailers and structural components
* Fabricate and modify parts and components using lathes, grinders and hand tools to support operational demands
* Carry out preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on harvesters, tractors, feed mixers, trailers, grain augers and water systems
Key Requirements:
* Hold an AQF Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Welding) or equivalent qualification
* Have at least 3 years of full-time relevant experience as a Fitter-Welder in an agricultural or industrial environment
Preferred Attributes:
* Proficiency in mechanical fitting and multiple welding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
* Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work autonomously
* Manual driver's licence required
