As a **Financial Analyst** at Qscan Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving analysis and providing strategic insights to support the growth and operational effectiveness of our business. Reporting to the Finance Reporting Manager, you will develop comprehensive knowledge of key business drivers, analyse trends, and contribute to long-term forecasts. Your expertise will be integral in enhancing reporting capabilities, facilitating process improvements, and providing strategic model to support decision-making across the finance function and broader business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Business Analysis and Partnering**
- Spearhead the development and implementation of value-add reporting capabilities across corporate functions.
- Utilize business insights gathered through relationships and consultations with department heads to prepare forecast models and drive informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing reporting and analytical capabilities within the finance function and across the organization.
- Play a pivotal role in the collation of bottom-up budget builds, clinic-by-clinic analysis, and group analysis in the annual budgeting process. Collaborate with the business and wider finance team to, ensure seamless execution and alignment with board submission requirements.
**Financial Reporting and Analysis**
- Provide valuable insights on key business drivers, collaborating with finance partners and analytics team members to document trends and insights.
- Develop and maintain reports to support understanding of financial and operational performance at all levels of the Qscan Group.
- Conduct feasibility studies for identified growth initiatives, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Assist in end-of-month reporting tasks and analysis, contributing to the preparation and presentation of management accounts and statutory reports.
**Corporate Valuation Model**
- Develop, update, and analyse the corporate valuation model (CVM) as directed by equity partners.
- Offer guidance to senior leadership on outcomes of CVM reforecasts, modelling scenarios to assess debt covenant sensitivities and other investing ratios.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modelling with large datasets, including strong experience with Power Query.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Background in Big 4 with 2+ years of corporate finance experience or experience in large M&A businesses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Understanding of statutory and management reporting, including tax implications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, focusing on value-adding activities.
- CPA or CA qualification desirable but not mandatory.
