About The Role
In this role, you will deliver mental health assessment and brief intervention through home visits/outreach and or virtual care services. As part of the work, you will operate within a bio-psycho-social cultural approach and provide care navigation to children, young people and their families, to improve mental health, social and emotional well-being.
This is a shift work role, including weekdays *********** or *********** shifts and some weekends including *********** shifts.
You\'ll be supported by the Aboriginal Mental Health Workforce. In addition to this we will also ensure access to Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) education framework, Ministry of Health training/networks, and other relevant professional development opportunities. Requirements
Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counselling (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program), Occupational Therapy which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
For Nursing, current unrestricted registration with AHPRA & meet the requirement for Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, hold required post graduate qualifications in the specialty field and meet the experience requirements for appointment under the NSW Public Health System Nurses\' & Midwives\' State Award.
Current unrestricted Australian drivers\' license.

Demonstrated understanding and clinical experience in providing timely, community evidence-based assessment and short-term treatment for children and/or adolescents and their families when presenting with complex needs and in mental health crisis.
Demonstrated advanced interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills (written and oral), including the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, adapt communication style to suit children/young people and their parents/guardians and demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.
