About the role
We are seeking a Projects Contract Specialist to join our Operations, People and Safety division. In this role, you will be responsible for administering goods and services contracts to ensure delivery of contractual obligations to agreed standards, supporting the effective delivery of Major Projects and Transmission Services works. You will provide specialist contract administration support to delivery teams and Project/Program Managers, including planning, procurement, management, and review of contracts in line with our Contract Management Framework.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment and will be a fixed term contract until 8 January 2027.

You are a detail-oriented professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and have a collaborative approach to achieving project outcomes. Your ability to interpret and explain contract requirements and resolve complex issues will make you a trusted advisor to our teams.
About your skills
You bring expertise in contract administration, negotiation, and compliance, with the ability to manage risk and resolve disputes effectively. Your organisational skills and time management techniques enable you to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes. Proficiency in business systems such as Oracle (ERP), MS Office, and SharePoint, combined with strong analytical and reporting capabilities, will support your success in this role.
Required Qualifications
* Advanced Diploma in Program Management or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and qualifications.
Desired experience
* Project management certification or experience.
* Complex contract administration experience, including GC21 and MW21 contracts.
* Understanding and application of Contract Management Frameworks in large organisations.
* Experience in legal compliance, negotiation, variation, and dispute management.
* Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and preparation of reports and presentations.
