Brooklyn Boy Bagels is an award-winning bakery in Sydney, known for Current York-inspired baked goods and our passion for sourdough breads, croissants, American-style pastries, fresh NY pretzels and house-made cream cheeses. Hours of work: 38 hours per week. Location: 19 Carrington Rd, Marrickville NSW 2204. Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
- Holds Certificate III level qualification.
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production setting preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake sourdough loaves and pastries
- Mixing, kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding and shaping dough
- Inspect production premises
- Ensure the quality and use-by date of ingredients
- Use FIFO stock management
- Maintain correct oven temperatures for baking products
- Operate machines which roll and mould dough
- Check the quality of raw materials and weigh ingredients
- Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
- Coordinate forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing trays, tins and other utensils
- Report issues and hazards
