Chef Manager Position
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Chef Manager in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
You will also have dual responsibilities in food preparation/presentation and site management, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills. Additionally, you will be accountable for overall cost management, with a focus on food and labour costs, and ongoing menu development and refinement.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient meal delivery
* Develop and maintain menus that meet the dietary needs of residents
* Manage kitchen staff to achieve high-quality food presentation and timely service
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and practices
* Collaborate with other departments to maintain a positive and respectful work environment
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, expenses, and quality control measures
Requirements
* Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Experience in managing kitchen staff, food preparation, and site operations
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
