About the Role
As a Support Services Worker in our Aged Care home, you will play a vital part in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals and contributing to a warm and welcoming dining experience for our residents. This role reflects our values of respect, compassion, and excellence.
The Role: You will assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards, support the Chef with meal planning, preparation, plating, and portion control, maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, food storage, and dining areas, wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and follow daily cleaning checklists, help with the setup and service of meals to residents in dining rooms or individual rooms, and ensure all kitchen and food safety regulations are followed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* You must currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or be willing to obtain) - Mandatory.
* Valid working rights in Australia - Mandatory.
* Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassion and empathy.
* An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential.
