**Purpose of position**:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Superintendent the QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for providing guidance to, and oversight of the EPC contractor regarding all welding activities across the Project to ensure compliance is in line with company policies national and international standards and specifications as appropriate.
- **Duties are, **_but not limited to_**_._
- Support the QA Superintendent and Lead Welding Inspector with development, implementation, operation, and ongoing continuous improvement of the Project Quality Management System (QMS)
- Liaise with all Construction Groups and with all EPC, Contractor & Third-Party Inspection Authorities/Entities involved in the project to ensure relevant inspections are conducted.
- Attendance at Hold and Witness points both onsite and at off-site fabricators as necessary
- Promote a Project Quality culture, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of Quality Standards & System
- Respond to Quality Inquiries & Issues relating to Welding and SMP
- Assist with the Quality Feedback Process throughout all project phases to ensure Lessons Learnt and best practices are highlighted.
- Have an active role assisting in investigations to resolve Project Quality issues, conducting Root Cause Analysis recommending improvement and monitoring the resolution implementation.

- **CSWIP 3.1** and / or **WTIA Welding Inspectors Certificate** and / or **WTIA Certificate 10**:
- Excellent written communication and IT skills
- Knowledge of standards relating to structural steel and pipe welding
- Experience in construction, commissioning, completion, and handover of project assets.
**Desirable**:
- Experience in LNG/ Petrochemical / Refining project execution, T&I; (shutdown), operations, maintenance, reliability/technical role.
- CIP Level 2
**Work Experience**:
**Essential**:
- 5 years + working in a similar role within the refining, oil and gas industry or equivalent heavy industry experience in large, complex hydrocarbon projects in LNG, Refining or similar industry with both greenfield and brownfield scopes working in a client-side role.
- Previous experience with broad knowledge in Structural, Mechanical, Piping (SMP) and tank construction and modular construction.
- Demonstrated QA & QC experience in client-side complex contracting environments including brownfield, greenfield EPC.
**Desirable**:
- Experience of QA & QC in an Australian Major Hazards Facility environment
- Ability to balance and manage time over multiple work fronts.
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- **Essential**:
- Working knowledge of civils, piping, structural fabrication, and installation.
- Working knowledge of construction schedule priorities and sequences.
- Working with “Permit to Work” systems.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciple project management team.
**Desirable**:
- Ability to balance and manage a diverse workforce.
