The role Reporting to Manager, HR Policy, this role will provide strategic direction in the identification and setting of Human Resource policy, provide advice and recommendations to executive management, and assist in managing the development and implementation of Queensland Health HR policies and Health Employment Directives (HEDs), including the provision of associated advice to policy/HED developers, HR practitioners, managers and employees across Queensland Health. The Advisor role is advertised as flexible fulltime, the Department of Health supports flexible work arrangements where appropriate through negotiation.
The successful personYou will be a self-motivated team member with a strong focus on delivering high quality, accurate, authoritative HR services and advice. You'll have solid experience in the development of employment related policy documentation and associated policy matters, along with comprehensive knowledge of relevant public sector legislation. This will be supported by your keen analytical and problem solving skills, and experience supporting the development of solutions to complex industrial relations policy.
You will be an excellent and influential communicator with high level verbal and written communication, consultation, interpersonal and organisational skills. Your flexibility, attention to detail and client service ethos will ensure you adapt to competing priorities whilst delivering high quality accurate outcomes.
