Gold Coast Health delivers a broad range of secondary and tertiary health services across more than 20 facilities, including three hospitals and two health precincts.
Reporting to the Health Service Chief Executive, the Executive General Manager (EGM) represents a single point of accountability for achieving outcomes expected of the Medicine division to ensure the service group contributes to the achievement of GCHHS vision.
The role partners with the clinical leadership team in creating and managing secure, effective and sustainable services, provides high level advice to the GCHHS Executive and Board and carries a high level of autonomy and responsibility for action. The EGM has responsibility to establish and monitor standards of performance, areas of risk and chance in order to achieve best practice performance and provides leadership within a culture which fosters collaboration, evidence-based decision making, research, learning and innovation.
