The Bell Tower is on the lookout for enthusiastic, Perth-loving, customer-focused individuals to enhance our amazing team, and create memorable experiences at this iconic attraction.
During the day, The Bell Tower invites visitors and tourists to explore the bells, museum, and panoramic viewing deck, and even have a go at chiming the bells themselves After hours, the Tower hosts numerous high profile, corporate, and private functions including wedding ceremonies and receptions, and birthday celebrations for up to 90 guests.
We are currently seeking applications from quality all-rounder candidates who are committed to providing exceptional service day and night: running tours for the public, as well as attending to our private functions and events.
The right candidates will also be considered for an Event Supervisor role.
Responsibilities
Function Attendants
* Assist in set up and pack down of event displays and shop front.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure the event runs smoothly.
* Maintain a clean and safe event area.
* Guide guests around the tower for bathrooms and smoking areas.
* Monitor guest safety for the duration of the event.
* Assist with outside vendors coordination on the day.
* Provide post-event reports and feedback to the event manager. This role does not involve food and beverage handling or service.
Visitor Attendants
* Lead and run Bell Chiming tours for up to 30 people at a time
* Handle cash and EFTPOS payments for entry tickets and gift shop merchandise sales
* Proactively greet and engage with all visitors, including taking photos
* Provide information about the Tower and The Bells
* Provide general information about Perth City and surrounds
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for all staff and patrons
Skills & Experience
* The Bell Tower is open 7 days a week. Availability on weekends and evenings until midnight is essential.
* Exceptional customer service
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Love working as part of a small team
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Able to undertake manual labour, such as lifting and moving tables and chairs
* Comfortable with heights – The Observation Deck is 25m high
* Adaptive working at different types of events, such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate functions, and parties
This is a casual opportunity with a rotating roster, and consistent weekly hours are not guaranteed. This role is well suited to students and anyone with a flexible schedule.
