Overview
Data Centre Technician – Oracle, North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia
Responsibilities
* Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment.
* Review and action incoming and open tickets, prioritising work based on ticket severity.
* Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all production server hardware and software.
* Provide escalated second-level technical support for complex issues, which may include leading problem management cases and providing management updates.
* Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders.
* Maintain strong adherence to processes and act as a process champion.
* Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
* Work on a rotating shift basis, including on-call.
* Background in Linux.
* Knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
* Applicants must be an Australian citizen and either hold NV1 clearance or be eligible to undergo the vetting process.
