Equipment Inspector Position
This is a critical role within our team, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing thorough visual inspections and functional testing of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
Key duties include gathering and verifying equipment inventory information, identifying and recording equipment components and accessories, and ensuring the quality of equipment data.
* Gather and verify equipment inventory information, including contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, and other relevant details.
* Identify and record equipment components, accessories, and asset details with precision and accuracy.
* Verify equipment descriptions based on established standards and guidelines.
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of equipment data, promoting quality control throughout the process.
* Verify requirements for warranty applicable items, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory standards.
* Compose and take high-quality photos of equipment, capturing essential details for documentation purposes.
* Provide assistance to the DEI Team as needed, fostering a collaborative environment.
* Support the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field during peak periods, leveraging expertise to drive results.
* Promote a culture of safety, prioritizing the health and well-being of employees and customers alike.
* Embody the company's commitment to safety by taking personal responsibility for one's own safety and the safety of others.
* Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess specific skills and qualifications to excel in this position:
* Fluency in French and/or English is essential for effective communication.
* Prior experience in equipment management, inspections, inventory control, or similar fields is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of industrial and agricultural equipment, trucks, and trailers is necessary for success.
* Proficiency in computer software, MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel), and digital cameras is required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration and documentation.
* Good penmanship is necessary for clear and readable documentation.
* Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy are vital for delivering high-quality results.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing time efficiently.
