Behaviour Change Facilitator Role
This role involves working with men who use violence in relationships to help them change their behaviour.
The Behaviour Change Facilitator will lead group work sessions and provide support for positive change, including conducting intake assessments, managing crisis situations, and maintaining working relationships.
* Facilitate group work for men who choose to use violence in intimate relationships
* Conduct specialised intake assessments of potential clients
* Manage crisis and emotional distress of clients
The program is delivered in a secure therapeutic setting, incorporating educational group work, informal counselling, individual case management, and advocacy. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a human services field or significant experience in a similar field.
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Change Facilitator who possesses intermediate facilitation skills, cultural competency, and advanced communication and problem-solving skills. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver group work programs for men who use violence in relationships
* Conduct regular supervision and support sessions with team members
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Working Conditions: The Behaviour Change Facilitator will be based in a secure therapeutic setting, working closely with other staff members to deliver high-quality services. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Selection Criteria: The successful applicant will possess a tertiary qualification in a human services field, or equivalent experience, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will also have intermediate facilitation skills, cultural competency, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
