Senior Lawyer Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Litigation Lawyer to join our team and work in regulatory prosecutions, civil enforcement, and administrative reviews. As a Senior Lawyer, you will provide legal services in support of our business and work in a fast-paced regulatory environment. You will be part of a passionate and engaged group of professionals providing independent, professional legal advice and legal services on a broad range of matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clear, concise legal advice and legal representation across a range of areas involving prosecutions and litigation.
* Undertake litigation and brief counsel where appropriate to ensure the provision of effective legal representation.
* Analyse and interpret legislation and evidence to draft documents including advice, court pleadings, statement of facts, and submissions.
* Assist clients and other stakeholders on the legal aspects of breaches of legislation and on litigation of matters before the courts or tribunals.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree qualification and relevant post-qualification experience as a litigation lawyer.
* Admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and hold a current practising certificate.
* Demonstrate sound knowledge of two or more of the following: regulatory prosecutions, criminal law, work health and safety law, administrative law and NSW Court and tribunal practice and procedure.
* Strong analytical ability, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills, including strong negotiation, advocacy and stakeholder management capability.
