An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and flexible educator to join the Lockyer District State High School leadership team. In this role, you will lead the Science faculty, including Agricultural Science, playing a key part in initiatives in line with school and departmental objectives.
Lockyer District State High School is a school of around 1000 students, located at Gatton in the picturesque Lockyer Valley. Responsibilities
* Leadership of the Science and Agricultural Science Departments, designing curriculum and cross‐curricular learning experiences that meet the requirements of the Australian Curriculum V9, QCAA, and AQTF, including embedding the pedagogy toolkit and moderation practices.
* Oversight of the management of the farm facilities and animals.
* Implementation of the Academic Excellence Program and other extracurricular programmes.
* Capability building of teachers and faculty staff.
* Operationalisation of the Faculty Improvement Plan and management of the Faculty budget.
