The Performance Improvement and Risk team within Governance, Strategy and Planning, Strategy and Performance Branch is seeking a Senior Policy Officer to join the team responsible for delivery of the department's risk management and business continuity planning and services. This includes enterprise and strategic risk analysis and reporting, annual business continuity planning and uplift, and working closely with our divisions and regions to build capability and provide support.
You will work in a high-performing team delivering products to support frontline and corporate staff to effectively and confidently perform their duties. As the Senior Policy Officer, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the delivery of high quality risk and business continuity reports to the department's executive leadership team, including key enterprise risk and strategic governance committees
- Coordinating quarterly risk reporting processes to ensure the department meets its risk management requirements
- Leading annual business continuity processes, including annual planning processes to support regions and divisions in meeting their requirements
- Providing high level advice, support and service to stakeholders across divisions and regions in relation to risk management and business continuity
- Critically analysing information to form insights and develop recommendations
- Supporting the development of products and processes to help build organisational capability in risk management and business continuity
- Quality assuring information to ensure alignment to policies, procedures and requirements
To Succeed You'll Need
- The ability to quickly acquire knowledge of risk management and business continuity systems and processes, noting that while previous experience in risk management and/or business continuity is not mandatory, it will be highly regarded
- The ability to analyse and interpret data and information to form insights and make recommendations
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and coordination skills
- Excellent communicator who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to work across a number of areas, and prioritise accordingly
