The Compliance and Investigations Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading the management of compliance, investigation, and enforcement functions within the Authority. This critical position entails collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the safeguarding of sacred sites and the responsible management of the sacred site investigation and prosecution process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategically manage compliance, investigation, and enforcement functions of the Authority.
* Engage in consultative dialogues with stakeholders including Aboriginal custodians, government agencies, landowners, and developers.
* Develop, review, and implement policy frameworks related to compliance and investigation functions.
* Promote collaborative partnerships with legal services to effectively manage prosecutions.
Essential Requirements:
* Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act 1989.
* Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
