The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ is seeking experienced Electrical or Mechanical Technicians to join our Rockhampton team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of critical water infrastructure including a state of the art Water Filtration Plant, River Intake Pump Station, 120 km Pipeline, and 2 x 2ML Reservoirs.

What you'll be responsible for
* Operate and maintain pump stations, treatment plants, and reticulation systems to meet contractual requirements
* Conduct water sample collection and laboratory analysis
* Monitor, optimse, and report on plant and system performance
* Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on all plant equipment and systems
* Respond to and rectify SCADA alarms and troubleshoot equipment issues
* Maintain accurate records in the CMMS system
* Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks
* Participate in on-call roster with after-hours response as required
* Ensure compliance with WH&S, Environmental, and Quality Systems
What You'll Need to be Successful
* Trade qualifications or tertiary qualifications in chemistry or process discipline
* Experience in process industry operations, ideally water/wastewater treatment
* Knowledge of water treatment practices and chemistry
