Key responsibilities
This apprenticeship offers a hands-on opportunity to work within the Hazeldene's poultry processing facility, supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment.
The Apprentice Electrician will assist in maintaining production uptime, supporting automation systems, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.
Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on production machinery and infrastructure.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical systems
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Assist with upgrades and modifications to electrical systems and equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, food safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and issues identified.
Collaborate with other trades and departments to support production and maintenance goals.
Respond to breakdowns promptly and effectively to minimise disruption to operations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process optimisation.
