We are currently seeking an organised, detail oriented Rostering Officer to join our administrative team.
About the Role:
As our Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for creating and managing effective staff rosters to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality care. You will work closely with clinical and care staff, HR, and management to meet workforce needs while complying with award requirements, leave entitlements, and operational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain daily and fortnightly rosters using Mirus software.
* Ensure adequate shift coverage and manage last-minute changes or absences
* Coordinate with managers and team leaders to understand staffing needs
* Monitor and manage staff availability, leave requests, and shift preferences
* Ensure compliance with workplace agreements, policies, and relevant legislation
* Maintain accurate staff records and contribute to payroll processes as needed
* Communicate rosters and changes to relevant staff in a timely manner
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce coordination (preferably in aged care or healthcare)
* Knowledge of aged care standards, regulations, and accreditation processes.
* Knowledge of Fair Work Act and ability to interpret industrial agreements to ensure compliance with best practice rostering.
* Strong computer skills, with experience using rostering systems (e.g., Mirus, Kronos, Allocate, RosterOn)
* Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
