Position Overview:

Alpine Woodsmoke Apartments is a group of 12 high quality luxury Alpine apartments with unique direct access from the Bogong High Plains Road.

The owners are seeking a motivated Building and Guest Services Manager to look after the day-to-day operation and letting of the apartments. This involves assistance with promotion of the apartments and outstanding guest services including managing bookings and cleaning. Plus undertaking simple repairs and engaging tradesmen to complete more complex maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Services:

* Be available at all reasonable times to respond to phone, email, and online booking inquiries from guests and owners.
* Live in Falls Creek during the snow season.
* Record and manage direct bookings and bookings via various services in RMS software.
* Collect deposits and payments, ensuring they are accurately processed into the designated Rental Account.
* Manage the Short Stay Levy, ensuring proper collection and remittance.
* Produce monthly rental statements and annual income statements for owners using the RMS software.
* Undertake simple repairs and engage tradesmen to complete more complex maintenance tasks.
* Guest Services:
* Greet arriving guests, assist with their luggage, and explain available services and facilities.
* Inspect apartments post-departure to confirm condition and manage security deposits accordingly.
* Provide exceptional support to guests to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
* Operational Oversight:
* Ensure quality cleaning and maintenance of each apartment, working with cleaning staff to meet high standards.
* Supervise parking arrangements for full occupancy of the 12 apartments.
* Manage heating and ambiance in apartments prior to guest arrivals.

Business Development:

* Work closely with the management team to promote and market the apartments effectively.
* Identify growth opportunities and enhance service offerings to improve guest experiences.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience in property management, hospitality, or a related field.
* Strong organizational skills.
* A customer-focused mindset.
* A working knowledge of RMS or similar accommodation booking software would be an advantage.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holiday periods during peak seasons.

Remuneration:

* Retainer: Payable by monthly instalments, commission and accommodation subsidy if appropriate.
* Generous Cleaning Fees: The Manager will organize and carry out the cleaning of apartments, either directly or with staff, and charge each apartment for cleaning duties.

The successful applicant(s) will be engaged on a contract basis and must have a motor vehicle, a computer, an internet service and a mobile telephone service.
